Colourbright

  • Colourbright - is Ennis Flint’s surface safety system, combining a high level of wet/night visibility in a range of colours, with an increased level of skid resistance versus a standard road surface. The system uses a cold applied epoxy resin binder, dressed with skid resistant aggregate and the patented Ennis Flint Clusterbeads, achieving over 800mcd/ lux/m2. The profiled surface results in a high level of retro-reflectivity even in wet conditions, where other surfaces suffer from poor performance because they are ‘hidden’ below surface water.

    Providing highly visible delineation to road users
    The patented Ennis Flint Clusterbead is a cluster of micro glass beads which gives high levels of retro-reflectivity through 360 degrees. It is available in a selection of colours designed to meet the wide range of needs of our custom¬ers. The Clusterbeads reflect the ‘white’ light from a cars headlights back to the driver in the same colour as the bead as shown in the examples below.

  • Zebrabright - is specifically designed to provide early and clear visibility of pedestrian crossings, especially in dark or wet conditions, positively influencing driving behaviour and reducing accidents. The system uses an extremely hard wearing MMA (methyl methacrylate) marking, dressed with high index glass beads and the patented Ennis Flint Clusterbeads, achieving over 800mcd/lux/m2. The profiled surface results in a high level retro-reflectivity even in wet conditions, where other surfaces suffer from poor performance because they are ‘hidden’ below surface water.
